Hi, I'm Zoe -
a London City and Guilds-trained chef who fell in love with food and cooking from a young age. I turned that strength into a career that helped me travel the world before deciding to return to Northland to raise my family in 2010.
Hi, I'm Alaina -
a Northland-trained chef from North-Tec Whangarei. I grew my knowledge from the many restaurants and cafes I've worked in throughout Mangawhai while growing up there.
Together we are A to Z Catering!
We started this company by complete accident in 2017 when Zoe got married here in Whangarei. When nothing in the catering scene ticked her boxes for budget, we did the food ourselves. From there we were asked to do an event for another attendee and by the end of that year, we had caterered 8 weddings.
We grew from a part-time business, topping up our regular jobs, into full-time, where we have gone from strength to strength - and haven't stopped growing since!
We love our catering lifestyle. Every week is different and we get to go to some neat places, meet incredible people, and be a part of some very special days and occasions in people's lives. Be that a birthday or a wedding, a bereavement or a workplace event, we celebrate with food and there's no better compliment and motivation to keep cooking than someone saying the food is amazing and they love it!

We're a family!
We've been friends for 20+ years – Our first jobs were as kitchen hands together at the iconic Mangawhai Tavern.
Both mums of three kids each, we juggled mum-hood and growing our business – the struggle is real.
But we love to keep it in the family - we have auntys, mums, sisters and daughters who have all worked for us.
We have an awesome bunch of casual staff who work as hard as we do, while always having a laugh - we create a safe and fun workplace while providing a caring and professional experience.
